Herne The Hunter
A replacement grotesque for St. George’s Chapel, Windsor, as part of their restoration of a damaged Victorian string course. The original being weathered beyond recognition, the Chapel provided an open brief for the grotesque.
This carving features a figure from local folklore, the antlered ghost Herne the Hunter, who is said to haunt Windsor Forest.
